The Croatian Employment Services, in partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), has announced 435 new job openings for Filipinos under a government-to-government (G2G) hiring program. The initiative is part of efforts to expand safe and legal overseas employment in Europe.
“This is a direct result of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to open dignified and safe opportunities for Filipinos abroad. Ang mahalaga dito, malinaw ang kasunduan at parehong gobyerno [Philippines and Croatia] ang nagbabantay. That means may proteksiyon, may suporta, at siguradong may respeto sa ating mga manggagawa,” DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac said.
The pilot recruitment will fill roles in Croatia’s hospitality and food service sectors, with 255 slots for room attendants, 110 for waiters, and 70 for cooks. Salaries range from €976.99 to €1,079.24 (about ₱62,500 to ₱69,000) gross monthly.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, Filipino citizens, with 10 years of completed education, TESDA NC II certification in the relevant trade, and physically and mentally fit for overseas employment. English proficiency is required, though prior work experience is not mandatory. Other documents needed include a valid NBI clearance, PSA-issued birth certificate, and a passport valid for at least one year.
Interested candidates must first register through the DMW portal (https://portal.dmw.gov.ph
), secure an appointment, and personally submit their requirements at the DMW Central Office in Ortigas or at any regional office. Courier submissions will not be accepted. Only those with complete documents will be processed.
The deadline for applications is September 24, 2025. Pre-qualified applicants will undergo interviews on October 15, 2025, in Mandaluyong City. The DMW reminded applicants that transfer of appointments between offices will not be allowed and urged all jobseekers to remain vigilant against illegal recruiters.
