Showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin has refuted claims that she named Congressman Bong Suntay and Mayor Bullet Jalosjos as benefactors of actor Dominic Roque. This denial follows Roque’s official statement decrying Fermin’s allegations against him. On her show, Cristy Ferminute, Fermin clarified her previous comments regarding Roque’s financial status and living situation.
“Napakalinaw po, wala po kaming sinabing benefactor ni Dominic Roque etong si Ginoong Bong Suntay. Hindi po namin sinasabi na nagkaroon siya ng gasolinahan dahil sa espesyal na pagtrato,” Fermin stated, addressing the rumors about Roque’s alleged benefits from Suntay. This comes after Cleanfuel clarified that Roque does not own a gasoline station, and Suntay himself affirmed Roque was merely a brand ambassador.
Moreover, Fermin explicitly denied mentioning Mayor Bullet Jalosjos in her discussions. “Mula nang salatin ko ang isyu ng breakup ni Bea at Dominic, ni isang banggit po ng pangalan nitong si Mayor Bullet Jalosjos ay hindi ko binitawan,” she asserted, distancing herself from spreading any rumors about Jalosjos’ involvement.
The narrative took another turn when Suntay and Jalosjos addressed these speculations in a vlog, with Jalosjos admitting the condominium in question was his but emphasizing his platonic relationship with Roque.
In light of Fermin’s controversial statements, Roque’s legal representatives from Fernandez & Singson Law issued a strong condemnation, criticizing the lack of verification before making such public allegations. “We strongly condemn the malicious and defamatory public statements of Ms. Fermin. These defamatory statements were made by Ms. Fermin under the guise of entertainment news without any effort from her to confirm the same from Mr. Dominic Roque,” the law firm stated.
This dispute emerges amidst the backdrop of Roque’s recent breakup with Bea Alonzo, initially announced by Boy Abunda on February 6, with the couple confirming the news thereafter.
