Hyderabad police discovered a tragic case of suspected murder-suicide involving a family of four in Ravindra Nagar colony, Habsiguda. Authorities believe that Chandrasekhar Reddy (44) and his wife Kavitha (35) strangled their children—Shrita Reddy (15) and Vishwan Reddy (10)—before taking their own lives by hanging.
The incident came to light on Monday night when police responded to a distress call and found the bodies inside the house. The children were lying lifeless on a bed, while the parents were found in separate rooms. A suicide note written in Telugu by Chandrasekhar Reddy indicated that financial difficulties and health issues led him to make the tragic decision.
Reddy, a former junior lecturer at a private college, had been unemployed for six months, leaving the family struggling. The police have registered a case and are awaiting autopsy results to confirm the exact cause of the children’s deaths. The bodies have been sent to Gandhi Hospital for further examination.
