Comelec adjusts pre-enrollment period for overseas online voting in 2025 polls

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced the revised schedule for the pre-enrollment of overseas Filipinos who will participate in online voting for the May 2025 midterm elections.

Initially set for March 10 to May 7, 2025, the pre-enrollment period will now begin on March 20 and run until May 7, 2025.

In an advisory, Comelec reminded overseas voters in Philippine posts that will adopt internet voting to complete their enrollment in the Overseas Voting and Counting System (OVCS) within the updated schedule.

Overseas Filipinos can cast their votes during the 30-day voting period from April 13 to May 12, 2025 (Philippine Standard Time).

Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia earlier emphasized that registered overseas voters must enroll first in the OVCS to participate in online voting.

Around 1.3 million Filipinos abroad are registered for the upcoming elections. According to Comelec, online voting will be available in 77 posts worldwide, while 17 posts will utilize automated counting machines.

Before enrolling, voters are encouraged to check if they are included in the certified list of voters (CLOV).
