Dubai International (DXB) Airport will soon implement new developments to enhance the guest experience, including the introduction of color-coded parking areas for easier navigation. This initiative, announced by Dubai Airports on Wednesday, aims to address the common issue of locating vehicles in the airport’s extensive parking lots.
According to a Khaleej Times, the new color-coded system is part of Dubai Airports’ ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency and provide seamless travel experiences. With hundreds of thousands of residents and tourists passing through DXB’s three terminals daily, these changes are expected to significantly ease the parking experience for motorists.
Parking charges at Dubai International vary by terminal, with rates at Terminal 1 ranging from Dh15 per hour to Dh125 per day, while Terminal 2 offers long-term parking starting at Dh50 per day for pre-booked spaces through flydubai.
In the first half of 2024, DXB welcomed a record 44.9 million passengers, an 8% increase compared to the same period last year. The airport also reported 216,000 flight movements, a 7.2% year-on-year increase, with January being the busiest month with 7.9 million passengers.
To enhance guest satisfaction, DXB has implemented a real-time monitoring system to manage queues efficiently, ensuring that 98% of guests experienced wait times of less than 10 minutes at departure passport control and less than 15 minutes at arrival passport control. Additionally, 95% of guests at departure security screening waited less than three minutes.
DXB will also introduce a new signature aroma in Al Majlis to create a welcoming atmosphere in its VIP facility.
