The Clark International Airport (CRK) in Pampanga, Philippines, has been honored as one of the “World’s Most Beautiful Airports” by the Prix Versailles World Architecture and Design Award. This prestigious recognition marks a significant achievement for the airport, which has been a finalist for this award in 2021.
Celebrating this milestone, CRK took to Facebook to express its delight and commitment to maintaining high standards. “We are thrilled that CRK holds the distinction of a Laureate, among Prix Versailles list of the World’s Most Beautiful Airports,” the airport’s statement read. CRK emphasized its continued dedication to enhancing passengers’ travel experiences.
CRK was previously acknowledged as one of the top six finalists in the World Selection of the Prix Versailles Architecture and Design Awards in the Airport Category in 2021. The airport was celebrated for its innovative features, creative design, and its deep connection to the local culture and heritage.
With a design capacity to accommodate eight million passengers annually, CRK features four levels, 18 aero bridges, and covers a total area of 110,000 square meters.
The Prix Versailles recognition underlines the vital role of its Laureates in beautifying and improving environments. This annual award showcases exemplary architecture and design from around the world.
