Chloe San Jose, girlfriend of Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo, addressed comments made by Christian “Xian” Albert Gaza in a reaction video regarding Yulo’s recent statement. Gaza had praised Yulo’s video for being calm, sincere, and authentic but criticized the presence of Yulo’s girlfriend, which he felt undermined the video’s credibility.
Gaza remarked, “Tama lang ‘yung ginawang official statement video ni Carlos para matapos na once and for all. […] Okay lahat ng sinabi niya, napakamalumanay, napaka-sincere, napaka-authentic ni Carlos Edriel Yulo. Isa lang ‘yung nakikita kong sablay ‘no. Well, may alitan ‘yung girlfriend niya at the same time ‘yung nanay niya ‘di ba? So dapat doon sa video, dapat doon sa official statement mag-isa lang siya.”
He added, “Eh, ngayong nando’n ‘yung babae, ‘di ba? Tumatawa-tawa pa, eh nabawasan tuloy ‘yung authenticity, parang may coaching tuloy na nangyari, gano’n ‘yung impact eh, gano’n ‘yung dating sa publiko. ‘Yun lang ‘yung sablay. Sana mag-isa na lang siya at wala nang background do’n na tumatawa-tawa, nakasira lang eh.”
In response, Chloe San Jose posted, “My name got mentioned in the interview, so of course, I had some things to say too—just keeping it fair 😌.” She further commented, “Who wouldn’t laugh at 🍑😭,” defending her reaction in the video.
