Parokya ni Edgar’s lead vocalist, Chito Miranda, recently took to Instagram to share his reflections on his time as a coach on “The Voice Generations” and a judge on “Idol Philippines Season 2.”
In his heartfelt post, Chito expressed how much he misses his colleagues from both shows, including Stell, Jules, Billie, Dingdong, Ate Reg, Sir Gary, Robi, and Moi. “Namimiss ko na si Stell, si Jules, si Billie at si Dingdong. Namimiss ko na rin si Ate Reg, si Sir Gary, si Robi, and sige na nga…pati si Moi,” he wrote.
Chito admitted that he thoroughly enjoyed his experiences on both ABS-CBN and GMA, despite his initial reluctance to accept the roles. “Honestly, I didn’t expect na mage-enjoy ako as much as I did (ayoko pa nga tanggapin nung una diba?),” he shared. He fondly recalled being part of ABS-CBN’s Christmas Station ID alongside Piolo Pascual, adding, “Nasama pa nga ako sa Christmas Station ID ng ABS eh, after Piolo Pascual hahaha…akalain nyo yun?!”
Expressing his deep gratitude, Chito stated, “Sobrang thankful talaga ako sa opportunity at sa overall experience na binigay nila pareho…and I will forever be grateful.” However, he noted that his TV commitments required him to sacrifice too many gigs with his band. “Pero, kahit sobrang solid ng experience, the schedule takes too much time away from my band,” he said.
Highlighting his dedication to Parokya ni Edgar, Chito emphasized, “Playing gigs is such a big part of our lives. That is who we are, and that is what we love doing.” He also expressed his desire to spend more time with his family and bandmates, where they have more control over their schedule compared to TV commitments. “Sa Parokya kasi, mas kontrolado namin ang sked namin, unlike sa TV, kelangan mo talaga mag-work around their sked,” he explained.
Chito concluded his post by reaffirming his commitment to his band, saying, “Walang iwanan sa Parokya. Rakenrol.”
