A media company in China, Mediastorm, is making headlines after gifting every employee and intern the newly released iPhone 16. The company’s founder, Tim, made the surprise announcement in an internal message, offering the latest iPhone model to all staff members, as long as they were present at the office during the announcement.
Tim also stated that the company would cover any associated taxes, making the giveaway completely free for employees. In addition to the iPhone 16, staff will also receive the soon-to-be-released Apple Watch Series 10.
This act of generosity is not new for Mediastorm, as the company previously gave away the iPhone 14 Pro in 2022 and iPhone 15 Pro in 2023. With about 100 employees, Mediastorm’s giveaway sparked online buzz, with many netizens expressing envy and asking how they could join the company.
