Kapamilya actress Chie Filomeno responded strongly to Dawn Chang’s recent statements about an alleged fight between them during their time as members of the GirlTrends group on “It’s Showtime.”
In a past interview on the online show The Men’s Room with Stanley Chi and Anjo Yllana, Dawn hinted at a conflict involving an unnamed celebrity. She claimed the person, whose initials match “CF,” tried to take her position during a dance rehearsal and later escalated the situation.
“Etong si girl, nagre-rehearse kami ng dance, inagawan ba naman ako ng position sa steps tapos inaway ako. Nagpa-interview pa ako daw nang away,” Dawn said, adding she was only defending herself.
While Dawn did not explicitly name Chie, the latter took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the accusations, denying the incident ever happened and calling Dawn’s claims “full of lies.”
“Oh bakit nahiya ka pa pangalanan ako, @thedawnchang? About the rehearsal, that NEVER happened. At alam ng prod sa Showtime ‘yun. Actually, yung staff sa Showtime nagsabi sa akin about this kanina at nagulat din sila,” Chie wrote.
She also refuted the specific details of the supposed altercation, questioning why she would pull Dawn’s hair as claimed.
Chie urged Dawn to move on, pointing out that the issue is outdated. “Naka-move on na lahat. Andoon pa din si ate mo Dawn. 2025 na, tumigil ka na kung hindi mo kaya mag name drop. Last ko na ‘to,” she added.
