In light of the ongoing tension between Israel and Palestine, certain flights from the UAE to Tel Aviv have been suspended, according to airline representatives. Specifically, the Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways announced the cancellation of flights EY593/EY594 between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv for October 10. A spokesperson stated in a Khaleej Times report that they are actively assisting affected passengers and emphasized their commitment to guest and crew safety.
However, flights between Dubai and Tel Aviv remain unaffected, as both Emirates and flydubai confirmed their operations are running as scheduled. Emirates also assured its vigilance on the matter, recommending travelers to contact their booking agents for any changes or cancellations. Charges related to changes and cancellations will be waived for tickets issued on or before October 8, for travel up to October 31.
Meanwhile, flydubai, which conducts up to four flights daily to Israel, has stated their intent to keep a close eye on the situation and adjust their schedules if necessary.
In a broader context, several international airlines, including Air France, Lufthansa, Ryanair, Aegan Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, and select US carriers have also suspended their services to Tel Aviv. Furthermore, Air India has reportedly cancelled their flights as per ANI.
