Caught on cam: 8 violations Dubai’s AI radar can now detect

Dubai Police has deployed advanced AI-powered radars across major roads to spot traffic violations in real time. These smart systems can detect multiple offences, helping improve road safety and discipline.

Here are eight violations the AI radar can identify:

Speeding – Fines range from Dh300 to Dh3,000, with up to 23 black points and 60-day vehicle impoundment.

Running red lights – Dh1,000 fine, 12 black points, 30-day impoundment, and Dh50,000 release fee.

Lane violations – Dh400 fine for careless driving, including swerving, tailgating, or crossing solid lines.

Distracted driving (mobile use) – Dh800 fine, 4 black points, and 30-day vehicle impoundment.

Not wearing a seat belt – Dh400 fine and 4 black points.

Illegal window tinting – Dh1,500 fine and possible vehicle impoundment with a Dh10,000 release fee.

Noisy vehicle modifications – Dh2,000 fine, 12 black points, and up to Dh10,000 to release the vehicle.

Expired vehicle registration – Dh500 fine, 4 black points, and 7-day vehicle impoundment.

Motorists are urged to follow traffic laws to avoid hefty penalties.
