Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo’s impressive double gold medals at the Paris Olympics have earned him national hero status, and billionaire Andrew Tan’s Megaworld Corporation is celebrating his victory in a grand way.
Initially promised a two-bedroom condominium for each gold medal, Megaworld decided to elevate its reward after Yulo clinched two golds. The real estate giant is now offering him a spacious three-bedroom unit in its prestigious McKinley Hill residential property.
Valued at P32 million, the three-bedroom condo will be fully furnished with top-of-the-line appliances and modern amenities. It includes two balconies, a separate maid’s room, and a dedicated parking space, highlighting Yulo’s remarkable achievements.
Adding to the reward, Megaworld is also granting the gymnast a P3 million cash bonus.
“Since this is a very significant milestone in the history of Philippine sports to have two gold Olympic medals during our 100th year participation as a country in the Olympics, which also coincides with our company’s 35th anniversary this year, we are boosting our reward for Carlos Yulo now totaling to P35 million. He truly deserves this and we will always be proud of him for taking Filipino excellence to the next level,” said Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, president of Megaworld.
With this lavish reward, Megaworld aims to inspire future generations of Filipino athletes to strive for greatness and bring home more Olympic glory.
