Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo is set to depart for France on Saturday to begin his preparations for the Paris Olympics 2024. He will be joining a training camp in Metz, a city in northeastern France, as reported by Jhomer Apresto on Dobol B TV.
Yulo stated in a GMA News Online report that he is currently 70 to 80 percent ready for the Olympic competition. The primary goal of his team is to enhance his stamina and overall performance.
Occupational therapist Hazel Calawod mentioned that Yulo will start his training regimen as soon as he arrives in France, with a particular focus on improving his ring performance and mental concentration.
Yulo emphasized the importance of bringing the lessons learned from his experience at the Tokyo Games, notably the need for confidence in every move.
In May, Yulo showcased his prowess by winning four gold medals at the 2024 Asian Gymnastics Union Men’s Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Uzbekistan.
The Paris Olympics 2024 are scheduled to commence on July 26.
