Kapamilya artists Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon tied the knot today, June 9, in an intimate and secret wedding at a private resort in Silang, Cavite.
ABS-CBN News reported that the garden wedding ceremony saw several notable personalities as principal sponsors. Among them were ABS-CBN CEO and President Carlo Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN Board of Directors member Charo Santos-Concio, Maricel Soriano, Olivia Lamasan, Vilma Santos-Recto, Veronique del Rosario-Corpuz of Viva, Star Magic Head Laurenti Dyogi, and Senator Bong Revilla with his wife Congresswoman Lani Mercado.
The wedding party featured Sue Ramirez as the maid of honor, with Belle Mariano, Kaila Estrada, and Adrian Lindayag serving as bridesmaids. Groomsmen included Ketchup Eusebio and Ramon Bautista. Loisa Andalio, Elisse Joson, and Alexa Ilacad took on the roles of candle bearer, veil carrier, and cord bearer, respectively.
Earlier in the day, Aquino posted a pre-nuptial photo of him and Dizon on social media with the caption: “Unti unti natin gagapangin ang buhay ng nakatawa @charliedizon_,” to which Dizon responded, “I love you.”
In February, rumors of their engagement surfaced when Dizon was seen wearing a ring. However, Aquino clarified at the time that while he believed Dizon was “the one,” there were no immediate wedding plans.
Adding to the joyous occasion, Dizon recently won Best Actress honors at the 2024 Gawad Urian for her role in the film “Third World Romance,” just a day before the wedding.
