Camille Villar tops campaign spending among winning 2025 senators, Comelec reveals SOCE data

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has released the Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) of candidates who ran in the 2025 midterm polls, shedding light on how much the winning senators spent to secure their seats.

Among the new Senate lineup, Senator Camille Villar recorded the highest campaign expenses, amounting to ₱179.6 million. She was followed by Senator Lito Lapid with ₱163.5 million and Senator Pia Cayetano with ₱162 million.

Other high spenders include Senator Imee Marcos who reported ₱139.2 million in expenditures, and Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa who logged ₱128.7 million. Senator Bong Go declared ₱127.3 million in campaign spending.

Senators Kiko Pangilinan, Rodante Marcoleta, and Erwin Tulfo also crossed the ₱100 million mark, while Senator Tito Sotto spent around ₱96.6 million. At the lower end of the spectrum were Senators Bam Aquino with ₱86.1 million and Ping Lacson with ₱18.9 million.

Comelec made the scanned copies of these SOCEs available to the public via its official website. So far, documents from 60 senatorial candidates, 29 political parties, and 141 party-lists have been uploaded.

Last July 3, the poll body also introduced its online platform for SOCE submissions, which will be fully utilized in the upcoming Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections in October. The system aims to increase transparency and accessibility for the public, according to Comelec Chairman George Garcia.
