RM, a member of the globally renowned group BTS, will debut his solo documentary film, “RM: Right People, Wrong Place,” at the upcoming Busan International Film Festival. The documentary, set to premiere during the festival’s Open Cinema session, captures the creation of RM’s second solo album, “Right Place, Wrong Person,” and his personal journey of self-discovery.
The film explores RM’s dual identity as both the artist RM and Kim Namjoon, and delves into the themes of finding oneself amid contradictions and societal expectations. The documentary was chosen for the Open Cinema session at the 29th edition of the festival, which takes place from October 2 to 11. Screenings will be held at the Busan Cinema Center’s outdoor BIFF Theater.
While the official release date for “RM: Right People, Wrong Place” is yet to be announced, it will be shared soon through the BTS and CJ 4DPLEX Originals channels. Fans can purchase tickets for the Open Cinema session on the festival’s official website or app, with further details to be released later.
RM released his second solo album, “Right Place, Wrong Person,” in May, featuring tracks like “Come back to me,” “LOST!,” and “Groin.” He is also featured in Megan Thee Stallion’s upcoming single, “Neva Play.” BTS is currently on hiatus as members fulfill their mandatory military service, with plans to regroup in 2025. Jin is the first member to have completed his service.
