Fans of the globally acclaimed K-pop group BTS received a heartwarming update from two of its members, RM and V, who are currently serving in the military. In a recent Instagram post, RM, the leader of BTS, shared a series of photos featuring himself and fellow member V in military uniforms, complete with a salute, symbolizing their ongoing service. The photos, captioned simply with “Loyalty,” have sparked excitement and support among their fans worldwide.
RM and V, who enlisted in the military on December 11, have reportedly completed their basic training and were recognized for their excellent performance. This update comes as a pleasant surprise to fans who have been eagerly awaiting news from the members since their enlistment.
Following in their footsteps, BTS members Jimin and Jungkook enlisted the next day on December 12, sharing photos of their buzz cuts, a traditional rite of passage for new recruits in the military. Jin, another member of the group, was the first to begin his service, having enlisted in December 2022.
As per South Korean law, all able-bodied men are required to serve in the military for a certain period. BTS, known for their global influence and contribution to spreading Korean culture, has been no exception to this rule.
The band, which rose to international fame with hits like “Dynamite” and “Butter,” is expected to reconvene in 2025 after all members have completed their military service.
