A heartwarming story of siblings Richard and Lianne Joy Olano has gone viral on TikTok as they both celebrated major milestones in their careers this year.
Richard recently passed the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (PNLE), securing the 10th spot, while his sister, Lianne, successfully passed the 2024 Bar Examinations.
“I graduated just this year po with a nursing degree as magna cum laude from West Visayas State University. Took the November 2024 PNLE and was blessed to secure the 10th spot,” Richard said in a PSND report.
The siblings supported each other through the challenges of their review season. “My sister po took this year’s Bar Exam as well, so, apart from our parents and close friends, we had each other during our review season. Kami talaga ’yung karamay ng isa’t isa because we were going through the same anxieties and challenges,” Richard recalled.
Their bond and mutual encouragement became their formula for success. “On one of our review nights, she jokingly said: ‘This is our year,’ to which I agreed. We studied together and prayed together. Yun po siguro yung formula behind this blessing,” he said.
Richard also expressed gratitude to their parents and older sister for their unwavering support. “Yung eldest sister po namin is our motivator and prayer warrior na din alongside our mama and papa. People also joke about our last name, Olano, which sounds like ‘ulan’, telling us that ‘whenever it rains it pours,’ just like the blessings our family received this 2024.”
