A group of scuba divers staged an unusual underwater display of support for former president Rodrigo Duterte, unfurling a sign beneath the surface as part of a video shared online.
The footage, uploaded on the Facebook page Alvin & Tourism, shows the divers holding a poster that read “Bring PRRD home alive” while submerged. The uploader said the setting was intentional, framing the message as a continuation of their appeal even in silence, isolation, and risk.
The post surfaced as Duterte marked his ninth month inside a detention facility in The Hague, Netherlands, where he is being held in connection with charges of crimes against humanity.
The Alvin & Tourism page, which presents itself as a travel-oriented platform but has repeatedly circulated pro-Duterte political content, has previously shared videos and posts aligned with narratives supporting the former president and his family. The page is not an official channel of the Duterte family or any government office, but it has been used as a space to amplify messages tied to Duterte-related developments.
