Bridging boundaries through connections

Marion Joseph Tuangco, a dynamic 37-year-old, has donned the role of Managing Director at Reliance Global Human Resources Consultancies Co. L.L.C. with finesse, marking a significant chapter in his six-year journey abroad. His voyage, which began as a Business Executive in a training company, has seen him evolve into a symbol of aspiration, facilitating avenues for individuals to migrate to the UK as senior carers and/or nurses, thereby weaving dreams with opportunities.

Reflecting on his diverse career spectrum, Marion reveals his entrepreneurial stint in the Philippines, where he not only owned a Call Center Company but also played a pivotal role in the operations of Google Asia Pacific.

The driving force behind his decision to venture overseas was a compelling desire to “enhance [his] skills” and to discover uncharted territories of personal and professional growth.

For Marion, the essence of his work transcends the confines of a job role; it’s about “connecting with people, living their lives by listening to their stories, and finding a purpose through helping them achieve it.”

Marion’s appreciation for the endless opportunities that accompany an overseas life is palpable.

He asserts, “You’re only limited by your vision, by your drive and confidence.” The allure of diverse and “intoxicating” cultures, coupled with the vastness of global landscapes, has enriched his perspective, enabling him to carve a niche amidst the myriad of people populating the world.

Facing struggles head-on: Overcoming challenges with faith and purpose

Navigating through unfamiliar territories, Marion encountered the inherent challenges of establishing new connections, fostering friendships, and assimilating into an alien culture. However, armed with unwavering faith, a supportive network comprising his church and family, and a steadfast belief in the power of envisioning, he emerged victorious in his battles.

Living by the mantra, “Do the right thing and nothing wrong will come out of it,” Marion exemplifies a life of integrity and conscientiousness. This guiding principle serves as his compass in every facet of life, be it love, business, or interpersonal relations. He counsels his fellow kabayans to uphold righteousness, emphasizing that adherence to morality ensures peace of mind and mitigates the fear of retribution.

As Marion peers into the future, he harbors aspirations of inaugurating a purpose-driven training center. His vision encompasses a harmonious amalgamation of profitability and philanthropy, aiming to “give opportunities to people who are very much capable and willing but are just having hard times in life.”

Visionary insights: Charting a course of altruism and integrity

Interestingly, Marion confesses, “I never wanted to become an OFW. I never dreamt of leaving the country.”

His initial vision was entrenched in building a career in the Philippines. However, the serendipity of opportunity altered his trajectory, introducing him to the enchanting diversity and boundless prospects of the world. Marion leveraged this revelation to his advantage, assessing his place and purpose in the global tapestry.

He extends sagacious advice, urging everyone to “see it for what it is. Assess, and then move.”

This encapsulates the essence of adaptability and lifelong learning, reinforcing the significance of embracing change and pursuing continuous self-development.
