Five young Emiratis tragically lost their lives in a traffic accident on Saa’a Road in the early hours of Tuesday, according to the Abu Dhabi Police.
The fatal accident, which resulted from a collision between two vehicles, also left one person seriously injured. The individual is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of a local hospital.
Funeral prayers for the deceased were held at the Martyr Omar Al Muqbali Mosque in the Umm Ghafa area following the noon (Dhur) prayer. Subsequently, the young men were laid to rest at the Umm Ghafa cemetery.
The victims have been identified as Ali Ahmed Ali Al Saadi, Ali Khamis Muhammad Al Saadi, Hammoud Abdul Aziz Ali Al Saadi, Rashid Abdullah Muhammad Al Saadi, and Abdullah Ali Abdullah Eid Al Kutbi.
The authorities are continuing their investigations and will release further details about the incident in the coming days.
