Three popular Philippine islands – Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao – have been recognized among Asia’s finest in this year’s Condé Nast Traveler (CNT) Top 10 Readers’ Choice Awards.
Global readers of the esteemed luxury and lifestyle travel magazine ranked Boracay, Palawan, and Siargao at the third, sixth, and tenth positions respectively.
The Philippines’ Tourism Secretary, Christina Garcia Frasco, expressed her elation over the achievement. “We’re thrilled with the global recognition, reaffirming the world’s love for the Philippines,” she said. “The unique blend of our breathtaking islands, pristine beaches, diverse marine life, and the warmth of Filipino hospitality makes every Philippine journey memorable,” she further added.
With about 600,000 registered readers participating in the online survey, the Readers’ Choice Awards are among the most coveted in the travel sector, offering a glimpse into emerging travel preferences.
In terms of scores, Boracay secured third place with 90.74 points, Palawan came in sixth with 89.71 points, and Siargao rounded off the list at tenth with 87.37 points. Notably, in the previous year, Boracay clinched the top spot, while Palawan was ranked eighth.
