President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. marked a special occasion on Wednesday, August 21, by posting a touching message for his wife, First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos, who celebrated her 66th birthday.
“Happy birthday to my first and only lady, Liza,” Marcos wrote in a social media post, accompanied by a collage of photos showing her in action as First Lady, with their family, and alongside him.
In his tribute, the President highlighted the many roles his wife has carried with strength and grace through the years. “You have been my partner through everything—a loving mother to our boys, a brilliant lawyer and teacher and now a tireless First Lady who gives so much of herself to others,” he said.
The message closed on an affectionate note, with Marcos expressing his gratitude and love: “Thank you for all that you do and all that you are. We love you very much.”
The couple, who first met in New York in 1989 during the Marcos family’s exile, married in 1993 in Italy and have since built a family with three sons—Sandro, Simon, and Vinny. Over the years, their relationship has been marked not only by public service but also by devotion to each other, often seen in the President’s public gestures of affection and their shared family milestones.
