Bong Revilla ‘biggest gainer’ in latest SWS Senate survey

Senator Bong Revilla emerged as the “biggest gainer” among senatorial candidates in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released Wednesday, significantly improving his position months ahead of the May 2025 elections.

Revilla climbed from the lower tier of 11th to 13th place in January to a comfortable 6th to 7th spot in February, securing 33 percent voter support, up from 29 percent.

ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo maintained his lead with 45 percent voter preference, while Sen. Bong Go rose slightly to third place with 38 percent. Senator Lito Lapid remained closely behind in third with 36 percent.

Former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III fell to 4th-5th place, tied with broadcaster Ben Tulfo at 34 percent support.

Meanwhile, Senators Pia Cayetano, Panfilo Lacson, and Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa continued to secure spots within the top nine.

Other administration-endorsed candidates, including Makati Mayor Abby Binay, Sen. Manny Pacquiao, and TV host Willie Revillame, occupied the final positions of the “Magic 12.”

Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar and Sen. Imee Marcos remain close contenders outside the winning circle, according to the pollster.

The nationwide face-to-face survey, conducted between February 15 and 19, involved 1,800 voters and carries a margin of error of ±2.31 percent. Filipinos will elect 12 senators this May.
