Senator Bong Go announced on Monday that he would not be able to attend President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA), citing a medical condition.
In a statement released hours before the annual address, Go disclosed he is suffering from a severe back spasm and will prioritize seeking medical attention.
While absent from the Batasang Pambansa, the senator emphasized that he would still listen to the SONA and fulfill his legislative responsibilities remotely.
Go’s absence marked a rare moment for the senator, who is usually present at key government events. Despite the health setback, he reiterated his continued support and vigilance over the administration’s commitments.
