Bong Go leads senatorial race in new OCTA survey, Tulfo close behind

Senator Bong Go has emerged as the top pick in the latest OCTA Research survey on preferred senatorial candidates for the 2025 elections.

The independent poll, carried out in mid-March and released Thursday, showed Go with a strong 64% voter preference—putting him statistically in the top spot or second place. Following closely behind is ACT-CIS Rep. Erwin Tulfo, who secured 61%, also landing within the same statistical ranking.

Other candidates who registered a solid statistical chance of winning include broadcaster Ben Tulfo (48%), former Senate President Tito Sotto (46%), and Sen. Bong Revilla (45%). Veteran lawmakers Lito Lapid and Ping Lacson both received 42%, alongside Sen. Pia Cayetano.

Also making it into the competitive circle were Sen. Bato dela Rosa (38%), Makati Mayor Abby Binay (37%), and Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar (35%).

Meanwhile, notable personalities such as Manny Pacquiao, Willie Revillame, DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos, former senator Bam Aquino, and former senator Kiko Pangilinan all received around 27–29%, placing them in the statistical range of 12th to 19th.

Many of the frontrunners are part of the administration-backed Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas slate, though independent figures like Aquino and Pangilinan are also gaining ground.

The survey, which sampled 1,200 registered Filipino voters nationwide, provides an early snapshot of voter sentiment with just over a year left before the midterm polls.
