Singer-songwriter and lawyer Jimmy Bondoc suggested on a recent news program that the country might see improvements if Vice President Sara Duterte were to take over as president.
During the December 6 episode of One PH’s “Politika All The Way,” Bondoc spoke about a hypothetical situation in which the Vice President assumes the country’s top post, saying, “I really think na kunwari maging presidente si VP Sara, the Philippines will immediately become better.”
Bondoc has previously voiced support for Duterte should she become head of state in the event she replaces President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., a stance he reiterated while political controversies and destabilization claims continue to surround the current administration.
Even so, Bondoc indicated that Duterte is not encouraging calls for the President to resign. In the same interview, he remarked, “I think, I’m authorize to say this, pero no’ng nagkakaroon ng mga BBM resign na call, she didn’t like it,” referring to appeals for Marcos to step down.
