BOC finds only two luxury cars at Discaya residence despite fleet claims

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) reported Tuesday that only two luxury vehicles were discovered at the Discaya family’s residence, even though a search warrant listed a dozen.

BOC Chief of Staff Jek Casipit confirmed in an interview on TrueFM’s Ted Failon at DJ Chacha program that the team located only a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Maserati during the raid.

“May nakita kaming dalawang units right now. ‘Yung Land Cruiser at Maserati. ‘Yung iba hindi namin nahanap. Wala kaming makita rito,” Casipit said.

The development comes shortly after Sarah Discaya faced the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, where she admitted to owning 28 luxury cars—a figure that has drawn intense public scrutiny. During her testimony, Discaya detailed high-end models such as a ₱42-million Rolls-Royce, a Mercedes-Maybach worth ₱22 million, and multiple Cadillac Escalades, Range Rovers, and a Bentley. She clarified that not all vehicles were bought in cash, citing installments for some, including the Rolls-Royce.

Earlier lifestyle features even placed the Discaya fleet at around 40 units, with an estimated value reaching ₱299 million to ₱405 million, sparking questions from regulators about import declarations and taxes.
