A three-year-old Palestinian boy who suffered severe burns in an airstrike that killed his entire family has been flown to the United Arab Emirates for urgent medical treatment, as part of the country’s humanitarian mission “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.”
Young Hatim Awad, who sustained second- and third-degree burns across several parts of his body, arrived in Abu Dhabi on June 12. The child is now receiving advanced care at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, where a dedicated team has been working around the clock to stabilize his condition.
Dr. Abdulqader Almessabi, Chief Medical Officer of the hospital, confirmed the child’s arrival and said that a thorough treatment plan was immediately put in place. “He is now in a stable condition and is improving well,” he noted.
Hatim’s evacuation was made possible through close coordination between medical and government authorities to ensure safe and seamless transport from Gaza to Abu Dhabi. The operation highlights the UAE’s ongoing commitment to providing critical relief to victims of the Gaza conflict—especially children who bear the brunt of the violence.
This mission is one of many efforts under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3,” a campaign that continues to deliver life-saving medical assistance and humanitarian aid to the region.
