Filipino karting star Axel Nocom is set to compete in the Champions of the Future Academy Program season finale on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Al Forsan International Sports Resort in Abu Dhabi. The OK-N Junior Final will flag off at 2:30 PM, with Axel racing in Kart #36 against the top junior drivers from the UAE, Europe, and other parts of the world.
Axel enters the final round as one of the front-runners, following a series of standout performances throughout the season. His previous race at the same track was nothing short of dominant—securing pole position, winning his heat, setting the fastest lap, and breaking the track record. That commanding victory on November 9 also brought a rare moment of pride, as Lupang Hinirang played over the loudspeakers during the awarding, marking a significant milestone for Filipino motorsport on UAE soil. Now, with the season finale ahead, Axel returns to familiar territory—determined to keep the momentum going.
The Champions of the Future (COTF) series is a respected international competition organized by the RGMMC Group, known for its focus on driver talent over equipment. All competitors race using identical chassis, engines, and tires assigned through a lottery, creating a level playing field that highlights pure driving skill. The program is also supported by partnerships such as the F1 Academy, which provides a pathway for young talents to develop within the global motorsport ecosystem.
The Al Forsan circuit has become a key venue for the COTF series since 2023, helping position the UAE as a rising motorsport hub. Its FIA-licensed track regularly draws elite youth racers competing in classes such as Mini 60, OK-N Junior, and OK-N Senior.
Axel’s participation in Wednesday’s finale adds to an already remarkable year, including a gold medal and track record at the Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship in Sri Lanka, a podium in Japan’s Autobacs GPR, and top finishes in Italy’s COTFA series and Spain’s FIA Motorsport Games.
All eyes will be on Kart #36 this week as Axel fights for the season’s final honors—once again bringing the Philippine flag to the front of an international grid.
