Social media personality and TV star, Awra Briguela, is once again under legal scrutiny as he faces additional charges filed at the Makati Prosecutor’s Office.
As of Wednesday morning, charges against Briguela include light threats, grave coercion, and violation of the Safe Spaces Act.
Briguela made headlines last June when he was involved in a commotion at a bar located in Brgy. Poblacion, Makati City. Subsequent to this incident, he was charged with alarm and scandal, physical injuries, direct assault, and disobedience to person in authority.
However, the Makati chief of police, Col. Edward Cutiyog, later clarified that the charges were reduced to slight physical injury and simple disobedience to a person in authority.
Having spent time in Makati City Custodial Jail, Briguela secured his release in July after posting a bail amount of P6,000.
