A groundbreaking campaign titled “Awareness Isn’t Enough” is making waves across the UAE, pushing for more than just awareness around autism and neurodiversity. Spearheaded by SCLC under the leadership of Mj Maria, the initiative has brought together leaders from various sectors, each pledging concrete actions to support the neurodiverse community.

The campaign emphasizes that awareness alone is insufficient—it calls for sustained, meaningful action that honors neurodiversity through tangible efforts. Participants have committed to making a difference, each leveraging their own influence and expertise to support the cause.
Community leaders pledge support
Among those stepping up is Ms. Auredel Magpantay, CEO of ProMed, who promised six months of free EMT and first aid training for autism and neurodiversity advocates and therapists endorsed by SCLC, turning knowledge into empowerment.

Chuck Vosotros, widely known as Chakoy of Wandering Kusina, committed to using his digital platforms to amplify the voices of neurodivergent individuals. Mr. Wilbert Cantor, a business leader in Al Ain, along with his Event Sphere partners, extended their support to integrate the campaign into local communities.
FIPA Schools in Abu Dhabi, led by Dr. Lyza Lariosa, also became a pivotal partner, committing to host monthly community sessions for parents, educators, and individuals, ensuring a consistent space for education and support. The initiative was further strengthened by Mr. Hubert Dahil, FIPA Schools COO, Mr. Dave Jainar Osorio, FIPA School Admin and Board Member, and Mr. Gil Javier, owner of Sarap Kusina and a respected community leader.

United support from various sectors
The campaign drew further support from a diverse network of advocates, including Mr. Mon Canlas Jr., Ms. Nenelyn Dimalibut, Ms. Swettie Rose Omondang, the FIPA faculty and team, Ms. Helen and Engr. Brian Carl of TEEM Studio and Philippine Business Council Abu Dhabi, and Mr. Joel Amaca of Mang Jose Artisanal Ice Cream.

From the business sector, Mary-Elizabeth Diab, a project management professional and leadership formation expert, joined the movement, alongside Ms. Laliebeth Petancio, known as Kabayan Lalie and Mama’s Grill. The campaign also drew strength from Mr. Red Cloud Capuyan, a Quality and Training Officer and Clinical Nurse Instructor, and Engr. Rafael Lontoc, Chairman of the Philippine Professional Organization.
In Al Ain, Mr. Wilbert Cantor and his Event Sphere partners reinforced the campaign’s local reach, while Mr. Junal Abdullah Lami-in, SCLC COO and Creative Director, provided leadership and direction. Mr. Archie Arcadio, a professional occupational therapist, and Ms. Gaye-Marie Jumuad, an artist and Bayanihan adviser, further enriched the initiative’s scope.

At the helm of the campaign is Mj Maria, SCLC CEO, who is known for her extensive work bridging cultures and generations.
