An Australian couple and a Filipina were discovered dead in a hotel room in Tagaytay City, with their hands and feet bound and their mouths covered with packaging tape, according to the Calabarzon Police Regional Office on Friday.
The victims were identified as David, 57, and Lucita, 55, both Australian citizens, and Mary, 30, a Filipina. Hotel staff found the bodies and alerted the police at around 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10.
In response, Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas has established a special investigation task group named “SITG David Fisk” to track down the perpetrator.
“Our investigation is ongoing, with a focus on the evidence collected so far. Our team is reviewing CCTV footage and conducting follow-up investigations to identify the suspect,” Lucas stated.
He assured the public that updates will be provided as new information emerges and emphasized that those responsible for this crime will be brought to justice.
