The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has released a limited-edition silver coin to mark its 50th anniversary, offering collectors and residents a unique piece of UAE memorabilia.
The coin reflects the CBUAE’s legacy and its pivotal role in shaping the nation’s financial and banking sectors over the last five decades.
A total of 3,000 coins, each weighing 60 grams, have been produced. The coin’s design features a portrait of President Sheikh Mohamed, along with his name in Arabic and the title “President of the United Arab Emirates.” The reverse side showcases the Central Bank building, the phrase “50 Years of the Central Bank of the UAE” in Arabic and English, the years 1973-2023, and a Dh50 face value.
Priced at Dh650, including delivery, the coin can be purchased through the CBUAE’s online portal, requiring UAE Pass login.
