The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is accepting applications for 16 male factory worker positions in Taiwan under the Special Hiring Program for Taiwan (SHPT), a government-to-government recruitment arrangement that bypasses private placement agencies.
The job order, issued under Recruitment Specification Form No. 260005-A dated March 17, 2026, covers machine operator roles at Chang Gung International Energy Inc. Successful applicants will receive a gross monthly salary of NT$29,500 — equivalent to approximately PhP 55,204 based on an exchange rate of PhP 1.87 per New Taiwan Dollar.
Minimum qualifications are modest: applicants must be at least a high school graduate and must not be older than 45 years old at the time of application. The method of recruitment will be conducted via video interview, with the exact date of the interview and target deployment date to be announced separately.
Deadline is March 19
The submission deadline is tight. Applications from both DMW Regional Offices and the Central Office in Ortigas must be submitted by March 19, 2026 — giving prospective applicants only two days from the date of issuance to prepare their documents.
Applicants must first secure an online appointment through their DMW e-Registration account at the official online services portal. Walk-in applications are not entertained; evaluations will only be accommodated at the processing venue selected during the appointment booking.
What to bring
Those who qualify for a scheduled appointment must bring original copies and one set of photocopies of the following, properly organized in a labeled folder bearing the RSF number, applicant name, position, destination country, and their PEOS Online and e-Registration numbers:
- Valid passport (at least one year of remaining validity upon submission)
- SSS UMID card or SSS Certificate
- PSA Birth Certificate
- Voter’s Certification from COMELEC
- e-Gov PH app
- Two recent 2×2 ID photos
- Copy of Taiwan ARC or NHI Card (for ex-Taiwan workers)
- Employment certificates, if applicable
- PEOS Certificate (obtainable at peos.dmw.gov.ph)
- Diploma or certificate of highest educational attainment
- Transcript of Records, if applicable
- Resume (required for the interview stage)
- Printed copy of the Workers Information Sheet/e-Registration
G2G route means no placement fees
Because the positions fall under the government-to-government program, recruitment is handled directly by the DMW’s Pre-Employment and Government Placement Bureau (PEGPB) rather than through private recruitment agencies. This structure is designed to eliminate unauthorized placement fees, which have historically been a vulnerability for OFWs entering Taiwan.
