At least 100 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families are set to benefit from housing grants under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, as confirmed by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). This development follows the signing of a joint memorandum circular (JMC) last Thursday at the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) office in Quezon City.
The JMC, endorsed by Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac, Human Settlements Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar, and Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene Acosta, outlines a clear process for OFWs and their families to access housing services through the 4PH Program. According to a PhilStar report, the agreement aims to facilitate affordable housing loans, with Pag-IBIG Fund offering tailored financial solutions to meet their needs.
Additionally, the DMW will play a crucial role in assisting with the application process for the 4PH Program and related services, ensuring seamless coordination among the involved agencies.
