Ajman Police arrested an Asian national during a raid for allegedly selling and storing counterfeit lubricants branded with globally renowned names, Khaleej Times reported.
Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al-Naeimi, Director of the Investigations and Criminal Investigations Department at Ajman Police, reported that the operation began following a tip-off received at Al Hamidiyah Police Station. The information pointed to a warehouse in the new industrial zone involved in producing, packaging, storing, and distributing fake oil products.
An investigative team was formed, and after adhering to all legal protocols, the site was raided. Large quantities of counterfeit oils were seized during the search. Further investigation revealed the suspect was also connected to another case at the Comprehensive City Police Station in Ajman Emirate.
Subsequently, police searched the suspect’s residence and discovered more duplicate car oils, which were confiscated. The suspect admitted to packaging and labeling the oils under his company’s name with the intent to sell them as products of well-known brands.
A thorough investigation is underway, and the suspect remains detained pending further legal proceedings.
