St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oud Metha, Dubai, has announced its schedule for Ash Wednesday, February 14th. The church urges its parishioners to attend Mass and observe the beginning of Lent.
The Ash Wednesday Masses will be held throughout the day, starting in the morning at 5:30 am, 6:30 am, 7:30 am, 9 am, and 12 noon. In the afternoon, Masses will be held at 3 pm, 4:30 pm, 6 pm, and 7:30 pm.
During these services, ashes will be imposed after the Gospel Reading, marking the start of the Lenten season. Ash Wednesday is traditionally observed as a day of fasting and abstinence.
It’s noteworthy that there will be no Novena Prayer to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour on Ash Wednesday. Additionally, the church has announced the suspension of Prayer Meetings in Bp. Gremoli Hall, Bp. Paul Hall, and the rooms above.
