Apple to unveil iPhone 15 at September 12 event

Apple has officially announced its annual iPhone event, set to take place on September 12 at the Apple Park headquarters. Invitations have been sent out to media, featuring an intriguing graphic that echoes the infamous “Thanos snap” from the Marvel Universe, along with the mysterious term “Wonderlust” [sic].

The event is largely expected to focus on the unveiling of the iPhone 15, which industry insiders anticipate to be a major upgrade. Following the transformative impact of the iPhone X in past years, expectations are high for the new model to deliver significant advancements and perhaps redefine the smartphone experience.

As the smartphone landscape has settled into some degree of predictability, the launch of the iPhone 15 is viewed as a possible jolt of excitement to the industry. While it may not create as much buzz as foldable devices have in recent times, it is poised to capture substantial attention.

However, the iPhone 15 isn’t the only highlight. Apple is also slated to introduce the Apple Watch Series 9. Though details have been scant, there are rumors about the new watch featuring the A15 Bionic chip and a new pink color option. Pink is also rumored to be part of the color palette for the iPhone 15, along with new shades of blue and gray.

The event will also mark the public release of the latest versions of iOS, macOS, and watchOS, Apple’s cornerstone software platforms.

In addition to these hardware releases, Apple plans to offer a closer look at the Vision Pro, set for an early launch next year. This product is expected to represent Apple’s ambitious entry into the realm of “spatial computing,” although further details are yet to be disclosed.
