An old video of actor Anthony Jennings pledging never to cheat again has resurfaced on social media, reigniting discussions around his recent controversy involving onscreen partner Maris Racal and ex-girlfriend Jamela Villanueva.
The clip, originally from a September 2022 episode of the Boys After Dark podcast, shows Jennings holding a placard reading “#neveragain” while reflecting on personal growth. He stated, “Hindi na ako magche-cheat, ‘yun. [Nagbago] na tayo eh. Nagbago na eh. Never ko nang uulitin ‘to. Character development.” (I’m not going to cheat again. We’ve changed. I’m not going to do that again.) He did not specify when the incident occurred.
The video, reuploaded by TikTok user @memeldific on December 8, quickly gained traction, amassing over 250,000 views. Many netizens criticized Jennings, linking his past confession to screenshots Villanueva recently shared, alleging unfaithfulness during their seven-year relationship. Jennings reportedly justified his closeness with Racal as “method acting.”
Racal has since apologized to Villanueva and fans, clarifying that she was led to believe Jennings was single at the start of their pairing. Jennings, in turn, expressed remorse to both women and confirmed his breakup with Villanueva last November.
