Anthony Jennings turned to Instagram to promote the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry And The Breadwinner Is…, starring comedian Vice Ganda. Directed by Jun Robles Lana, the family-oriented movie also features Jhong Hilario, Gladys Reyes, and Eugene Domingo. It is now showing in cinemas nationwide.
In his post, Jennings re-shared the movie poster, expressing why the film resonates deeply with him. He revealed that he became his family’s breadwinner at a young age and shared how his family and friends have been his support system through challenges.
“Tulad ng karamihan, maaga din po ako naging breadwinner kaya ramdam ko ang hirap at saya na bitbit nila araw-araw,” Jennings shared. “Itong pelikulang And The Breadwinner Is… talagang malapit sa puso ko. Poster pa lang, maluha-luha na ako.”
He encouraged viewers to watch the film, describing it as Star Cinema’s heartfelt holiday gift for Filipino families, particularly breadwinners.
Jennings is also gearing up for the release of his new series, Incognito, premiering January 17 on Netflix, January 18 on iWantTFC, and January 20 across Kapamilya platforms, including A2Z and TV5.
