Actor Anthony Jennings has confirmed his split from his non-showbiz partner Jam Villanueva, addressing speculations surrounding their breakup and rumors linking him to actress Maris Racal.
In a video circulating on social media platform X, Jennings revealed that he and Villanueva ended their relationship months ago due to personal reasons. He emphasized the importance of keeping the matter private, particularly since Villanueva is not part of the entertainment industry.
“Hiwalay na kami. Months ago na nung naghiwalay kami ni Jam,” Jennings shared. “Si Jam naman, hindi naman siya artista, pribado ‘yung buhay niya… ako ‘yung may pagkukulang dun, problema ko ‘yun.”
Jennings also denied any romantic involvement with Racal, clarifying that they are just friends. “Sa lahat ng mga nanggugulo rin sa dalawa—kay Maris din, nadadamay si Maris—magkaibigan lang po kami. Sana matigil na yung mga ganun,” he appealed to social media users.
The breakup gained attention after Villanueva’s TikTok posts about heartbreak and betrayal sparked speculation. This led some netizens to suggest Racal’s involvement, especially after her own publicized breakup with musician Rico Blanco in July. Racal, however, categorically denied Jennings had any role in her split with Blanco.
Racal and Jennings have been seen together professionally, most notably as co-stars in the 2023 romance series Can’t Buy Me Love. Despite online buzz, both have reiterated that their relationship is purely platonic.
