Actor Anthony Jennings recently confirmed his breakup with long-term partner Jamela Villanueva, citing personal issues as the reason behind their split. In an interview with Allan Sancon of StarsPhotog on November 29, Jennings clarified that his on-screen partner Maris Racal had no involvement in their separation.
“Magkaibigan lang kami [ni Maris]. Sana matigil na [ang mga] issues,” Jennings said, urging the public to stop spreading rumors about Racal.
Jennings admitted the breakup happened months ago and took accountability for the issues that led to the split. He requested the public to respect Villanueva’s privacy, emphasizing that she is not part of the entertainment industry.
However, Villanueva broke her silence on December 3 through an emotional Instagram post, implying a different narrative. She expressed gratitude that Jennings finally addressed their breakup but shared her pain and allegations of betrayal involving Racal.
“But betrayal like this cuts deep. This is my truth, and sharing it is my way of moving forward—not with anger, but with strength, hope, and the belief that better days are ahead,” Villanueva wrote, alongside screenshots suggesting a possible third-party involvement.
Villanueva also detailed her struggles in the months following their breakup, urging women to prioritize their peace and self-respect in challenging situations.
Jennings and Racal have yet to respond to Villanueva’s claims.
