Anne Curtis has officially resumed filming for her upcoming action movie directed by Erik Matti, marking their highly anticipated reunion following the success of BuyBust in 2018.
The actress shared glimpses from the set on her Instagram, including photos of the production crew, scenic locations, and a framed picture of her family she brought to the shoot. “Locked in 🔒🎬🎥 Prepped as if I was going off to battle. But wait, I actually am? 😝” Anne captioned the post, hinting at the intensity of the project.
The collaboration was first announced by Erik in February 2023. “We don’t shoot movies that are fast and easy,” the director wrote, praising Anne’s dedication and passion for storytelling.
Anne has been preparing rigorously for the film, undergoing intense training with the 201st Infantry Kabalikat Brigade since August 2023. In an earlier interview, she shared her excitement about the role and described the preparation as more demanding than any of her past projects.
“Mas matindi ‘yung training dito. Pati skills ibang iba siya talaga from what I did before. It’s an Erik Matti project, and I’m always excited to work with him,” Anne said, keeping further details about the movie under wraps.
Filming officially began in April 2024, and fans are eagerly anticipating the results of this thrilling collaboration.
