Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga’s debut film ‘Minamahal’ to screen in the Middle East soon

The much-anticipated romantic film Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna, starring rising love team Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga, is heading to the Middle East, according to a recent social media post by a Viva Films executive.

The post, which excited fans of the “AshDres” tandem, teased that the film will be screened “soon” across selected cinemas in the region, signaling Viva’s efforts to tap into the growing Filipino audience abroad—particularly in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

Directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, Minamahal marks the first full-length feature film of Muhlach and Olviga after their successful run as Keifer and Jay‑jay in the hit teen series Ang Mutya ng Section E. Their undeniable chemistry on-screen has since translated into a strong fan base, both in the Philippines and overseas.

In Minamahal, Andres plays Raffy, a reserved flower vendor, while Ashtine takes on the role of Luna, a visual artist disillusioned with love. The film tells the story of how a series of symbolic floral gestures slowly open Luna’s heart, challenging her beliefs and healing old wounds.

The movie’s teaser, which premiered on July 4, went viral within hours, sparking excitement with the hashtag #AshDres dominating Filipino online spaces. The romantic storyline, paired with lush cinematography and heartfelt performances, struck a chord with young audiences, making the film one of Viva Films’ most talked-about releases this year.

Olviga, in an earlier interview, said the film is more than just a love story. “It’s about knowing when to stay, and when to fight for something you didn’t believe in before,” she shared. Muhlach echoed similar sentiments, describing love as “something worth pursuing, even in the quietest moments.”
