Andi Eigenmann gets palm leaf tattoo in tribute to late mother Jaclyn Jose

Andi Eigenmann recently paid tribute to her late mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose, by getting a tattoo just days before her first death anniversary.

The former actress took to Instagram to reveal a palm leaf tattoo, which she described as a meaningful homage to her mother. She shared that the design represents various aspects of Jaclyn’s personality—traits Andi hopes to carry forward in her own life.

Among the qualities Andi admired most was her mother’s strength, which she considers an inspiration in facing life’s challenges. She also highlighted Jaclyn’s unwavering dedication to her craft, calling her an artist who constantly strived for excellence.

Andi noted that the palm leaf also symbolizes her mother’s victory, referencing Jaclyn’s historic win as the first Asian actress to receive the prestigious Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival.

Reflecting on nearly a year of mourning, Andi shared that she has come to realize the best way to honor her mother is to cherish and live the life she was given. She also believes that, like a palm tree symbolizing immortality, Jaclyn’s legacy will remain forever in her heart.

Jaclyn Jose, whose real name was Mary Jane Guck, passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 60 due to a heart attack.
