Anantara to open Santorini-inspired resort in UAE

The Minor Hotel Group, responsible for the popular Anantara brand, is set to unveil a breathtaking Santorini-themed resort in Ghantoot, UAE. Aptly named “Anantara Santorini,” the luxury resort is slated for an opening in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Taking inspiration from the dreamy architecture of Greece’s Santorini, the resort will feature iconic smooth white structures blending seamlessly into the UAE’s desert surroundings. Prospective guests can look forward to ultra-private accommodations, boasting sunlit terraces with undisturbed views of the sea.

Amenities at the resort include an expansive pool and private beach overlooking the Gulf, an indoor cinema offering late-night screenings complemented by gourmet dishes, and exclusive beachside spa treatments in private cabanas. For the utmost in luxury, guests can also avail themselves of a round-the-clock butler service.

Culinary aficionados will be treated to a diverse gastronomic experience with an elegant restaurant that pays homage to UAE’s rich heritage, as well as an oceanfront Greek eatery serving up classic Hellenic dishes. Night owls can groove to tunes spun by a live DJ and enjoy inventive cocktails at the resort’s vibrant bar.

Located strategically between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Ghantoot offers an untouched sanctuary with panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. The resort’s location is conveniently a 25-minute drive from Al Maktoum International Airport and 35 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, making it an ideal destination for both tourists and UAE residents.

Those dreaming of a Grecian getaway need not look far; Anantara Santorini promises a slice of Greece right in the heart of the UAE.
