Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo have sparked a frenzy online after Richards presented Bernardo with a grand bouquet and gift during her surprise birthday bash.
The heartwarming moment, captured in an Instagram Story by Bernardo’s friend and stylist Boop Yap, showed Richards arriving at the venue to join the celebratory dinner.
Approaching the table with the bouquet and gift in hand, Richards shared an affectionate hug with Bernardo before she graciously accepted his thoughtful presents.
Richards had previously hinted at a collaboration with Bernardo during the 19th Eastwood Walk of Fame ceremony last March. Responding to questions about potential projects with Bernardo under his multimedia company Myriad Entertainment, Richards teased, “Coming soon! Let’s go!” before playfully walking away.
The duo previously shared the screen in the 2019 hit film “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” where they portrayed characters caught in a poignant love story set in Hong Kong. The movie, hailed as a breakthrough in local showbiz for its portrayal of love teams, featured Bernardo as one half of KathNiel alongside Daniel Padilla, while Richards was known for his role in the AlDub tandem with Maine Mendoza.
Their collaboration has generated excitement among fans, especially given their respective backgrounds in rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA.
