Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo have officially been crowned the 2024 Box Office King and Queen by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), thanks to the phenomenal success of their film Hello, Love, Again.
A sequel to the 2019 hit Hello, Love, Goodbye, the movie made history by becoming the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time—and the first to surpass the ₱1-billion mark at the box office. Set five years after Joy and Ethan’s emotional parting in Hong Kong, the new chapter follows their unexpected reunion in Canada.
Alden accepted the award in person, looking sharp in a textured blazer and black trousers, as seen in a joint Instagram post by GMA Pictures and Star Cinema. Kathryn, although not physically present, was equally celebrated for her role in the film’s monumental success.
Aside from this milestone, Alden is gearing up to host Stars on the Floor, a new Kapuso dance competition premiering this June on GMA Network.
